Two UH-1H’s doing dips on the Skyline Wildfire in Wenatchee

I just happened to be in Wenatchee on contract when the Skyline Wildfire sparked up this morning at around 2am. They’ve been fighting it all day now, so I took some initiative and headed to where I thought I could get real close to the helicopters fighting it. They are using two UH-1H helicopters to hit it with bucket drops and after some creative hiking, and maybe some minor trespassing, I got to the bank of the Columbia River and shot some photo and video of the dips. Check it out!
